Ibiza Moon | Stone-Henge and Salisbury

皆さん、イギリスに巨石文明があったことを知ってますか？
イギリスを代表する世界遺産、「ストーンヘイジ」と、
この周辺の街を紹介します。

Do you know there was a civilization of megalith in England?
Here is one of famous world heritage of "Stone-henge"
and showing you very beautiful village around this area.

ストーンヘイジはイギリス南西部、ソールベリー地方にあります。
ロンドンのパディントン駅からおよそ２時間ほど、
前回紹介したバースの少し先です。
この巨石、一体誰が何の目的で造られたのが未だ謎・・・。
一説では天体観測や儀式、議会などに使われたと言われています。
宗教的観点では、ケルト人が信仰するドルイド教の祭壇だと考えられています。
事実、現在でも毎年夏至の夜明けになると
各地から集まったドルイド信者がここで怪しげな儀式を執り行うそうです。

"Stone-henge" is in Salisbury area it takes about 10miles.
Also it takes just 2hours from Paddington station in London.
This megalith has been really mysterious,
because it is not coming to light what purpose
to make and who really need.
According to report, it has used for spherical observation,
ceremony or assembly.
The other way of think is,
it was an altar for the religion "Druide" from the celt.
And some beliver of Druide get aggregation to cerebrate a ceremony
at the break of day in every summer solstice.

建造年代は紀元前１７５０年頃までさかのぼり、
形はイギリスによく見られるサークルです。
ストーンヘンジを建設した高度な技術、それを成し遂げた当時の人々には驚きます。
素材となった巨石は、１個あたりの重量が５０トン近くもあり
それらは北へ３０キロメートルほど離れた丘陵から運び込みました。
そしてこの巨石サークルは夏至の日の出、冬至の日没のほか、
二十八日周期で満ち欠けを繰り返す月の運行にも関係があるようです。

This construction built in 1750 B.C and shape is circle.
That is really amazing about sophisticated techinique
and the people who accomplished this project.
The weight is 50tons eaach stone carrying
from the hilly terrain where 30km far.
Also this megalith was concerned with daybreak of the summer solstice and sundown of the winter solstice,
also the revolution of wax and wane (moon) in 28days cycle.

この近くに、ソールズベリーという小さな美しい街があります。
There is a small and really beautiful village near by stone-henge.

この街のシンボルは、ソールズベリー大聖堂です。
１２２０年から１２５８年にかけて建設された美しい大聖堂で、
１３１３年には１２３メートル余の美しい尖塔が増築されました。
チャプターハウスと呼ばれる聖堂内の部屋には１２１５年のマグナカルタが所蔵され、
ヨーロッパで最も古い時計も置かれている。
マグナカルタとは・・・大憲章のことです

Salisbury Cathedral is a beautiful and historic building,
an international symbol of Christianity
and a world class heritage attraction.
It has made from in 1220 to 1220,
and also it built a high steeple about 123m in 1313.
There property "Magna Carta" and the oldest clock in Europe.
"Magna Carta" means the great charter of England.

２回目にソールズベリー大聖堂を訪れたとき、
ちょうど日曜日の夕方のミサが始まろうとしていました。
もともとパイプオルガンの音色が好きで、これは絶対に聴きたい！
と思い、祭司にここに居てもよいかたずねたところ「お座りください」と。
そしてミサが始まり、聖歌隊がパイプオルガンの伴奏のもとコーラスを始めました。
生演奏に鳥肌が立ち、感動のあまり自然と涙がこぼれました。
本場のパイプオルガンの演奏とコーラスにしばし酔いしれました。

I saw the Mass when I visited Salisbury Cathedral second time.
I really like timbre of a pipe organ, so I wanted to listen!
Then I asked priest to stay inside, and he said "Please take a seat".
And mass started with chorus and pipe organ.
It gave me goose skin and made me drew tears.
I could not leave there for a long time listening a legitimate playing.

私は無宗教派ですが、ヨーロッパ各地の教会や大聖堂巡りが大好きで、
特にソールズベリー大聖堂のようなゴシック建築にそそられます（笑）
教会や大聖堂の内部に入るととても静かで落ち着きます。
そして何故か心がスーっと解き放たれたような、清い心でいられるような、
不思議なパワーがあるのだと思います。

I do not have any religions,
but I love to visit a church and cathedral in Europe.
Especially the Gothic...it is so beautiful
and arouse my interest like this cathedral.
When I go to inside, it is really quiet and it make me feel calm,
also set my feel free to be pure.
There is something marvelous power.
