レゲエやボサノヴァですかね・・・
今日の１枚は、ジャズ・レゲエです。
ちょっと古いんですが、夏になると聴きたくなるんです。

What kind of image do you have for the music of summer?
Maybe Reggae and Bossa Nova or something...
Today's CD is sound like mixed Jazz and Reggae.
That is a little old, but I always miss this CD in summer.

１９９０年代、クラブでヘビープレイされていた大ヒット曲。

彼の活動は１９８０年代から。
ジャマイカ系民族衣装を身にまとい(最近はクラブっぽいジャージだったりも・・・)
サックスをプレイをするコートニーパインですが
ジャズを根幹にソウル、レゲエ、ヒップホップあらゆる要素をミックスし、
彼特有のクールなクラブサウンドに仕上げる技巧は錬金術師のよう・・・。
いまやロンドンのジャズ/クラブ・シーンで第一人者となり、
２０００年には大英帝国勲章まで与えられています。

He is wearing a Jamaican costume and playing the saxophone
Hi is like an alchemist because he makes his peculiar cool
club sound based Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop
and all elements of genre.
Now, he is a prince of the night club in London,
aslo he has got the order of Great Britain in 2000.
